Run by a steering group of local residents in collaboration with the This Is Nelson partnership the cultural strand of the Nelson Town Deal funding.The Ripple Effect aims to create new community spaces along the canal stretch through Nelson for people to come together, get to know one another and enjoy different activities.
Over the summer of 2025 we’ll be focusing activity on Lomeshaye Park as well as Nelson Town Centre (specifically Pendle Rise) with projects including Drift ‘A Love Letter to Pendle Rise’ and continued residency with artist Dana Olărescu. Watch out for a range of events from our ‘pop up’ in Lomeshaye Park including our regular Bike cafe and political food youth club. See the What’s On page for upcoming activities.
